Little Nippers Foraging Walk

Little Nippers Foraging Walk

  • Lasts 2 hours

Join our resident forager, Sammie Longhorn, from 11am-1pm on Monday 27th July 2026 for a child-friendly adventure through the hedgerows and meadows of Lime Wood. During this engaging one-hour foraging walk, children will learn how to safely identify a variety of edible and medicinal plants, discovering the fascinating world growing all around them through a fun, hands-on experience. Along the way, there will also be the opportunity to sample a selection of wild snacks.

Please arrive at Lime Wood for 11am and meet at Herb House before heading out into the grounds. Following the walk, guests will return to the Raw & Cured garden for refreshments and a chance to ask Sammie any questions during an informal Q&A session.

The walk covers approximately 1km across mostly flat ground. Suitable footwear is recommended and guests should be prepared for light rain. Children should be comfortable walking this distance, although toddlers and babies in slings are welcome. Please note that the route is not suitable for pushchairs.

Complimentary for Herb House members and £45 for non-members. The price includes one child per adult, the guided foraging walk, Q&A with Sammie and refreshments.
